David has been taking pictures since he was 10 years old, when his father gave him a used Lieca camera. David spent many years doing commercial and industrial photography as a training ground.

Eventually, he turned his interests to landscape photography, making some of his work available on this web site.

Darkroom training learned from his father, and hands-on experience, has given David a lifetime of learning experience in the field of photography.

Photography has become a family tradition for the Krohnert family. With David's two daughters also involved in photography, the tradition continues.

Currently David uses Hasselblad medium format camera equipment for most of his work, with several Pentax 35mm cameras as back-ups.
